On to new Faire season

So, I guess by the title of this blog entry, you will notice that I am no longer going to be doing the "Alpha-quest". Although, it was sort of fun, in a way to discuss all the different letters and what they represent to me (and possibly others as well).

So that being said, this entry (and others going forward) will be about the Winslow Shire Renaissance Festival (and others that we attend) to promote that and to also talk about how we are coming along.

With this being February, our Winslow Shire http://www.winslowshire.com/ is coming along nicely and we are now up to 27 vendors (possibly more coming) and 11 to 12 performers. I say this, as we are not sure if Shakespeare is definately in and if Rosalita's Puppets will come on Sunday, right now they are penciled in.

I am now on the hunt for sponsors, so if you would like more information on how you can get involved, please do let me know directly.

So far we have Knights in Shining Armor for the ladies http://www.rainasmind.com/neville/index.shtml , Belly Dancing for the guys http://www.joydances.com/home and others. We will also have live demonstrations of Blacksmithing with full forge from Shane Stainton http://www.forgedknives.net/ and live music this year from Windborne http://www.myspace.com/windborneduo.

Did I mention, our Friends at Silas Griffith Inn now have this fabulous package that will help us out?!? Yeah! Their website is http://www.silasgriffith.com/ so if you want to stay at a beautiful Inn and help out the Festival for 2009 that is a great deal!

I'm now trying to figure out how to write a proposal letter, so any advice is helpful.

Keep tuned for more information on Winslow Shire! Also, we will be performing again this year for the NH Renaissance Faire http://nhrenfaire.com/
