So, I'm pretty new to knitting, only about a year, and I've learned so much in so little time. I wish I could post pictures (and hopefully one day, with a digital camera), but in the meantime you will just have to use your imagination.
I'm now doing a blanket (my first attempt at a big blanket, thanks to http://www.ravelry.com ) I'm on there as giazz, so if you like you can friend me.
I also like http://www.scarvesfromtheheart.com/images/logo.jpg as this is a site, if you have too much yarn, you can get nice patterns and give some to charity, always a good thing.
Have you tried also Knitting for Dummies? Great book for me, and if you are new to knitting I can try to help you as best I can.

http://www.lionbrand.com is great for free patterns (always nice for me).

YAY!! I'm so glad you have enjoyed the site! Thanks so much for passing it along to others. I second that about Knitting for Dummies. That's how I learned to knit too!

I SO envy you for getting started with it. For some reason, I've been wanting to crochet so badly. (I don't know why it's crochet in particular.) Maybe you've inspired me to at least pick up some materials.
